Before I completely forget about Halloween, I thought I'd revive my darker side for a bit with these amazing photos and goodies from Amy Atlas Events. They believe that your party should be an expression of you — although a keg and hotdogs can be classy depending how many beers you've had. The service they provide is actually interesting since they meet with you, get to know you a little bit and come up with a theme that reflects your personality. They also take the stress out of throwing a party and believe that the host or hostess should get to enjoy their own party and manage all the details for you.
Now a little bit about Halloween. According to Wikipedia, the term Halloween is shortened for All Hallows' Even (both "even" and "eve" are abbreviations of "evening," but "Halloween" gets its "n" from "even") as it is the eve of "All Hallow's Day," which is now also knows as All Saints' Day. It was a day of religious festivities in various northern European Pagan traditions, until Popes Gregory III and Gregory IV moved the old Christian feast of All Saints' Day from May 13 to November 1. There you have it.
