MadeThought Thinks Design Through

MadeThought is a multi-disciplinary design consultancy that is adept in brand identity and development, art-direction, packaging, printed matter and interactive design. They are known for a deliberate and crafted aesthetic, and believe the strength and purity of rigorous graphic application. Increasingly, they deal with long-term brand strategies and pride themselves on being able to apply their graphic skills to a client, not simply in terms of aesthetic vocabulary, but also in a manner which allows them to become immersed in a company, providing relevant and successful solutions to the way they work, think and present themselves. Personally, I just love the way they deal with typography and color : ) Check out the rest of their work by clicking here.

Alex and Chloe's jewelry is perfect for anyone. It can be classic, trendy, edgy, personal, funny, modern, modest, or just there. It's a little bit spendy so pick your piece carefully so that you can cherish it even more. Personally, I have my eyes on the stud pyramid earrings...

Andrew Bannecker's Detailed Shoe Illustration

Andrew Bannecker's detailed shoe illustration made me think of Thanksgiving for some reason. I think it's the attention to detail in his work that I notice in people around me as they try to get their families together for the holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas alike), the beautiful autumn colors and swirly shapes that remind me of the season, and the almost lonely sense of these single shoes that some people feel around the holidays.

Thirsty for Typography Thursday #4

First of all, happy Thanksgiving everyone! Second, I didn't forget it was Typography Thursday so here goes... The wonderful work you see below was created by Craig Ward, a London-based Graphic Designer who likes to play with words — literally. He graduated in 2003 and currently works as a Typographer and Designer at Chi & Partners' London office. He predominantly works in the editorial and publishing fields but views himself as a typographic illustrator, bring to life headlines, creating new typographic treatments and continuously exploring the notion of words as an image. Make sure to check out all of his work by clicking here. Gobble, gobble!

Disturbance Challenges the Concept of Beauty

Disturbance, an independent studio started in 1997 by sibling duo Richard and Susie Hart, are located on the second floor of a ramshackled old Edwardian house with one and half computers, some bring blue and lime green paint, and a wing chair upholstered in bright blue and lime green. Over time, they've not only updated the studio's color palette, they've also added a third partner, Roger Jardine, and are still fueled with the same fire that the company was founded upon — a desire to produce intelligent, engaging, relevant and effective design. I was not only impressed by their work, but also by their website (I love web origami), check it all out here.
