Two artists, two concepts, two mediums, two inspiring pieces of work.
Cathy Daley, inspired by ballerina tutus – the garb of fairy tale princesses and Barbie doll couture – investigate her childhood memories of what it means to be female in Western culture and explores cultural representation of femininity and the body.
Daryl Banks, canadian photographer based in Toronto, works across fashion, advertising and fine art and created a series that he calls "Crinoline Flowers."
