Fused Glass
Exquisite bottles by Tapio Wirkkala who uses a technique called "Incalmo" (a process that includes two types of glass, worked separately and fused together to create a single object where individual areas are separated by color).

New Yum Yum Toys!
New "Heroes and Villains" toy series by Yum Yum London. I can't decide which one kicks more ass... A Rambo-like dude equipped with a double-barrel shotgun, a grenade and a chicken? A karate grandma wearing a coral blouse? A brainless zombie wearing only one shoe? An octopus bearing sweet and salty treats??? Too much goodness for one day!

Colors of Autumn in Your Home
One of the many reasons why Autumn is my favorite season is because of the color palette shift that seems to happen overnight. The sun hides behind clouds, creating spectacular views of over saturated colors all around us as the trees turn various shades of red, orange, gold, and bronze. The prints by piktorama give me a sense of Autumn colors, mixed with vintage textures and a breath of freshness with teal and light blue accents. All available to purchase here.

My Kind of Motivation
When it comes to motivation, everyone responds differently. Some like compliments or encouraging words, others such as myself like to be challenged. These perfect motivational prints for gluttons for punishment can be purchased at Felt & Wire.

Detailed Beauty
We've all seen about a gazillion wedding invites, but Erin Jang does it like no one else. Her attention to detail is painfully gorgeous, and the southwest theme shown below is like nothing I've ever seen. It is fresh and clean, two attributes I never associate with southwest graphics, and the colors are tasteful and charming. This is an excellent example of taking 2 things that seem overdone and creating something unique and beautiful.

Joe Stephenson
I really appreciate London-based designer Joe Stephenson. His style is clean, simple, and most importantly, conceptual. He doesn't work out of a vacuum or make things "pretty" just because he feels like it, instead he creates a strong platform and builds upon it. Each design element has a purpose and all materials support the big idea, leading to powerful identity and meaningful design.

Yum Yum Toys
I don't know why, but Yum Yum London's series of designer toys makes me grin. I love them, I think they're intriguing and bubbly, kid-like with an adult humor.

Reviving Music and Minds
As summer comes to an end and fall moves in quietly, I can't help but be completely bored! I miss the excitement of the new school year and the brand new school supplies, but there's something about Thomas Guy's album design and illustration that revitalizes me in a child-like manner.
