Resolutions, 2011

Yep, it's a new year, which means we all get to set new goals and new hopes. I rarely have new year resolutions, but I need a change in my life, and this might be the perfect opportunity. I want to make my goals simple and achievable, so here goes for 2011:

1. Smile more. A professor in college once telling me that if you're sick, you should dress up to fool your brain that you're healthy and ready to work or go out. I'm hoping that by smiling more I'll fool my brain into thinking that hard times aren't so tough and good times are even better than I think. I might even become a generally pleasant person to be around!

2. Work on my typography skills. It's sad but true, I've slacked for the past couple of years on typography. Blame short deadlines and working mostly in digital if you want, but 2011 isn't the year for excuses, it's the year for action.

3. Wear skirts. Most people want to start a new crazy diets that will probably last 3 weeks and end up with weight gain, or go to the gym 5 times a week to get the abs they've always dreamed of (yeah, right), personally, I just want to wear more skirts. I've spent the last year wearing whatever I found on my bedroom floor, and have been mistaken for a homeless person in the halls of my workplace. Enough is enough. It's time for a change, and I think skirts are the answer.

Wishing you all a wonderful year, and hope all your resolutions come true.

Lintar Olive Oil

Although I love this olive oil packaging by TRIDVAJEDAN, I find it more inspiration for something I would want to do to my house. I think it's the contrasting color palette, simple form, and connecting use of the typography that reminds me of trim and window treatments.
